Statics

EuroFox support systems for ventilated cladding are the unique combination of standard lightweight aluminium brackets and profiles with built-in strenght from innovative design - a large range of sizes and systems affords greater scope in creation and design.

Structural system horizontal fixing

Horizontal section

To enable thermal movements, the horizontal L-profiles are fixed by one MacFOX fixpoint and a number of MacFOX flexible points.

Vertical section

Vertical profiles

Each vertical profile is rigid jointed to one horizontal fixpoint L-profile and flexible jointed to a number of flexible point L-profiles. The length of vertical profiles should not exceed the storey height.

Fixpoint L-profiles

Due to the rigid connection, fixpoint L-profiles are able to absorb both, vertical weight loads and horizontal wind loads of the facade. As a consequence of statics, MacFOX-brackets which support fixpoint L-profiles have to be fixed to the wall at their outside opening.

Flexible point L-profiles

Flexible point L-profiles take wind loads only. To avoid excentricities and to provide an optimum transfer of horizontal wind forces to the wall, MacFOX-brackets supporting flexible point L-profiles have to be fixed at their inside opening.

MacFOX - Fixpoint

The vertical profile is rigid jointed to the MacFOX support bracket by rivets located at the round holes. Therefore, the MacFOX bracket is able to absorb both vertical weight loads and horizontal wind loads.

MacFOX - flexible point

Rivets in the elongated holes connect the vertical profile to the MacFOX bracket. Consequently, thermal expansion is not constrained by the support system. A MacFOX flexible point absorbs wind loads only.

Vertical fixing

Each vertical profile is fixed to one MacFOX fixpoint and a number of MacFOX flexible points. As a consequence of thermal expansion, the length of the profiles normally does not exceed the storey height. The bracket spacing is determined by cladding options as dimensions and weight of the facade cladding and by wind loads.
